Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS)
ATIS is a North American standards body that is leading the development of telecommunications standards, operating procedures and guidelines through its sponsored committees and forums. ATIS member companies are North American and World Zone 1 Caribbean providers of telecommunications services, and include telecommunications service providers, competitive local carriers, cellular carriers, interexchange companies, local exchange companies, manufacturers, software developers, resellers, enhanced service providers, and providers of operations support.
Information Technology and Telecommunications Association (TCA)
TCA is the respected resource for information technology and telecommunications professionals involved in transporting, connecting and integrating data, image, video and voice. TCA protects member investments in the areas of information technology and telecommunications by: identifying business solutions exchanging information and knowledge meeting member's emerging needs monitoring and affecting legislative and regulatory direction influencing technology developments providing professional and skill development.
International Telecommunication Union (ITU)
Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, the ITU is an international organization within which governments and the private sector coordinate global telecom networks and services. The ITU is also the leading publisher of telecommunication technology, regulatory and standards information. Within the ITU, the ITU-T fulfils the purposes of the ITU relating to telecommunications standardization by studying technical, operating and tariff questions and adopting recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis.
Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA)
TIA represents providers of communications and information technology products and services for the global marketplace through its core competencies in standards development, domestic and international advocacy, as well as market development and trade promotion programs. The association facilitates the convergence of new communications networks while working for a competitive and innovative market environment. TIA strives to further members' business opportunities, economic growth and the betterment of humanity through improved communications.
United States Telephone Association (USTA)
USTA is the premier trade association representing the nation's local exchange carrier industry. For more than 100 years, USTA has been providing a common ground where local phone companies of all sizes can unite to advance the industry's concerns. The association represents more than 1,200 small, mid-size and large companies worldwide. The USTA's mission is to promote the general welfare of the telephone industry, to collect and disseminate industry information and to provide a forum for the discussion and resolution of issues of mutual concern.
Utilities Telecommunications Council (UTC)
For over 50 years, the UTC has assisted members worldwide who own, manage or provide critical telecommunications and IT systems in support of their core business. This global trade association's purpose is to create a business, regulatory and technological environment in which members will succeed. To carry out its mission, UTC serves as: aleader in identifying and facilitating opportunities in a changing environment; an effective advocate for members on legislative, regulatory and business issues; a primary provider of telecommunications education, information and issue analysis; and a forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences.
