Hands-On TIRKS Circuit Design Fundamentals

Course Description

This in-depth course teaches the fundamentals of Special Services circuit design using TIRKS. Participants will acquire essential TIRKS manipulation skills and circuit design fundamentals via a series of Hands-On design exercises.

TIRKS Circuit design process GOC, C1-Prep, NCI, NC, CLLI, CLEI, CLCI, and USOC codes
2-wire and 4-wire circuit designs
Switched Special Services
Signaling and Transmission range extension devices
Circuit design using T-1 and Digital Loop Carrier
Off premises PBX stations Class A, B, and C
Tie Trunks EM and DX signaling
PBX to Central Office trunks
DID trunks and DSS services
Analog Data circuit design
Exchange Access Services
Function codes and equipment selection
Post-Test Performance Exercise

Target Audience

Persons with Special Services Circuit Design responsibilities. This course is intended primarily for persons with limited previous TIRKS design experience.

Prerequisites

Transmission and signaling fundamentals or equivalent work experience is required.

Delivery Method

Instructor-led with numerous "Hands-On" design exercises using TIRKS training databases to process example service orders.

All mentioned Equipment for this training is Company specific and is provided by the Client for this training. A classroom with appropriate seating and writing surface. One TIRKS terminal per student is highly suggested.

BTS always provides equipment to have a very successful Hands-On course. BTS also encourages all attendees to bring their own equipment to the course. This will provide attendees the opportunity to incorporate their own gear into the labs and gain valuable training using their specific equipment.
